This concert/lecture, entitled Sound Medicine, introduces you to the how music works with the brain.  Renowned Long Island Neurologist Dr. Alan Ettinger and his band Synaptic Groove share insights into why we enjoy music and what brain structures are involved.  Learn how to use music for anxiety and depression, how it promotes emotional connections and its power to preserve memory and reduce risk of dementia.  This musical performance and lecture is part of the Health and Harmony Program, which is Catholic Health’s partnership with the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame.
